OverDrive Server and Software Application
OverDrive Vision QMD/X systems are equipped with an IT-class server loaded with the OverDrive server software application. OverDrive News systems add the NRCS MOS Interface application of your choice, the OverDrive MOS gateway, as well as up to 50 licenses of the OverDrive NRCS desktop ActiveX application.
OverDrive RundownControl Client Application
One OverDrive RundownControl Client Application (OVD-RC-Client) license is included with each OverDrive Production Control System allowing users to start creating rundowns right out of the box. Additional clients can be ordered for use in redundant systems or for additional control positions enabling operators to remotely create/edit/monitor templates and manage rundowns. A second RundownControl Client application is the perfect solution for producing seamless 'back-to-back' shows without break.
Extensive Help System
OverDrive Live and News systems come standard with an extensive online Help system built right into the application.
15 Month Software Maintenance
New OverDrive Live and News systems come standard with a 15 month software maintenance plan. OverDrive News also includes 15 month software maintenance for the NRCS MOS interface. Additional maintenance plans can be purchased on a yearly basis.
One Year Transferable Warranty
OverDrive Live and News systems come standard with a one-year transferable warranty.
OverDrive Peripherals
A premium PC keyboard and scroll mouse come standard with each (optional) client PC and server.
Manuals
Each system ships with a complete set of electronic OverDrive Installation and User's Guides installed on the OverDrive CD. Hard-copy manuals are available as an option.
New Features for Version 9
OverDrive Version 9 includes many significant new features to the product line and highlights the introduction of the user-configurable GlobalViewTM GUI. Here is a full listing of what is new:
GlobalView
GUI The new GlobalView GUI leverages the extra display area of widescreen monitors by offering the user customizable views suited to their operational and production requirements. Each RundownControl module can be resized or moved – even to a second display – creating a work environment with the perfect mix of rundown-based and 'on-the-fly' tools.
GlobalView allows the operator to add columns displaying specific device channels to the rundown. This feature provides a 'global view' of all devices under control showing media and position data as well as status.
NKeyers
The NKeyer feature offers the user control of up to 4 keyers per switcher MLE, in addition to keyers associated with the MultiKeyer option. Keyer Link/Latch operation is available for each keyer allowing the operator to bring any key on with the shot transition, at a predetermined time after the transition, or 'on-the-fly' under complete operator control.
NRCS CG Timer
OverDrive v9 supports CG timing information from the ENPS ctrl 'G' tool. This feature allows automated CG timing coded directly from the NRCS. iNEWS and NRCS ActiveX support will follow in later releases.
Channelized CG Commands
This new feature extends the capabilities of OverDrive CG MOS integration by exposing control of required template animation and channel management settings for supported graphic systems.
New DirectControl CutBus
The Switcher CutBus in DirectControl has been fully redesigned to provide additional and quicker access to switcher crosspoints and all 4 MLE keyers plus DSK. Color coding has been added to aid the APC operator in quickly determining the status of all switcher busses.
