Ross Video designs, markets, manufactures, and supports a wide range of innovative products for use in broadcast, distribution, live event and production applications.  Ross products are found in over 100 countries and are used 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to produce and distribute video and audio signals. Our reach is worldwide with Ross sales office locations throughout Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and China, with more office openings planned in the future.

Self Funded Growth

Founded in 1974, Ross Video was initially funded with a $3,000 investment, the proceeds of the sale of John Ross' personal airplane. From our humble beginnings in John's basement and garage, Ross has grown to an international company with more than 250 employees.

Today, the Ross family continues to own Ross Video. John Ross sits on the Board of Directors, and David Ross is the CEO, working with a broadly experienced professional management team.

Since the beginning, Ross Video's growth has been entirely self-funded.  We believe that our ability to grow without external funding is at the core of a disciplined approach to our business.  We closely manage all aspects of our operations ensuring efficiency in everything we do.

With no outside shareholders to please, we are free to focus on the satisfaction of our customers and respond to customer needs ahead of short-term profit goals.  This approach makes us extremely resilient, as other companies have come and gone, Ross Video continues to grow and succeed.

In House Manufacturing Delivers Quality, On Time

Ross Video handles all key manufacturing activities internally.  This gives us full control over the quality we deliver to our customers as well as enabling us to respond quickly and deliver on tight production timelines to meet important customer on air or event dates.  Our manufacturing department consistently hits delivery commitments at close to 100%.

Excellent R&D is a Priority

As a technology company, Research and Development is of key importance.  Our President and our Founder are both engineers and they ensure that our R&D group is well staffed and equipped with the latest tools to deliver the best new products to our customers. Research and Development in to new products and technologies is so important to us that Ross reinvests well above the industry average with over 25% of our revenue reinvested in new product development or the enhancement of existing products.  Our R&D groups have won 8 major industry awards for new product excellence and innovation in the past 6 years with numerous patents awarded or pending.

Our Customers are in Good Company

Ross Video has satisfied customers throughout the world (and soon on the International Space Station). Our broadcast customer list includes NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox & HBO in the United States, CBC, CTV and Global in Canada, the BBC and Agenda in the UK, TVE, Galaxia, in Spain, KBS, STV and SBS in Korea, SABC in South Africa, Televisa and TV Azteca in Mexico, ABC in Australia, CTV in Taiwan, Hunan in China, and Doordarshan  and Zee TV in India. We are providing broadcast solutions to many cable companies such as Time Warner, Comcast and Rogers Cable as well as Direct to Home broadcasters such as SKY-TV, Echo Star, Expressvu and StarChoice.  We have hundreds of educational users including Columbia College, Northwestern University and Purdue University.  We have also enjoyed tremendous success with sports stadiums such as Staples Center (LA Kings and Lakers), American Airlines Center (Dallas Mavericks and Stars), Air Canada Center (Toronto Raptors and Maple Leafs), and many more. Our corporate clientele include well-known organizations like IBM, Cisco, Burger King, and Radio Shack.
