NAB Booth SU1356, NAB, Las Vegas – April 25, 2006 - Ross Video announced today a new partner, Claratech, specializing in digital video fibre optic conversion. This technology will be incorporated into the newly launched openGear product line.

openGear is an open frame standard based on the modular backplane openGear 2RU rackframe that can house up to 10 card modules of any type. openGear modules are available from a selection of openGear partners allowing customers the flexibility to pick the best module for their application. Customers will no longer be locked into one manufacturer’s frame standard and modules for their terminal equipment solutions. openGear also provides the platform for a web-based control system that allows quick and easy monitoring and control of openGear frames and modules on the network.

This is the fourth member of the Ross Video openGear partnership that includes, Cobalt Digital, Ward-Beck, Ross Video and now, Claratech.
