Ross Video and Editware Announce Strategic Alliance

GRASS VALLEY, CALIFORNIA and IROQUOIS, ONTARIO - March 19, 2003. Ross Video and Editware announced today an alliance to extend the interface between Editware's editor product line and Ross' Synergy production switchers.

The agreement will guarantee interoperability between the two company's product lines, sharing of protocol information and cooperation on development of protocol extensions to provide the tightest Editor to Switcher / DVE integration on the market.

"Editware makes an excellent line of editors and we are excited with the extension of our relationship with Editware to include proactive interface development," said David Ross, Director of Product Development for Ross Video. "We will collaborate on a detailed engineering level to ensure that our products work well together."

Editware demonstrated the Fastrack editor with Synergy 100 compact digital production switchers at NAB 2003.

Editware manufactures Fastrack hybrid editing systems and Super Edit software. Super Edit has the distinction of being the longest continuously supported, upgraded, and enhanced editing software application of its kind in broadcast television. Editware is based in Grass Valley, California.
