Iroquois, ON, Canada – April 20, 2006 – Ross Video’s OverDrive production control system won Bronze for Innovation at the 8th annual eastern region Ontario Global Traders Awards. The awards recognize the most innovative and successful companies based in Ontario doing business globally.

Jeff Moore, President accepted the award during the awards ceremony held in Kingston, Ontario. The Ontario Global Traders Awards program was launched in 1998 by the Government of Ontario to recognize and celebrate success in Ontario.

“We are extremely pleased to be recognized as one of the technology innovators by the province of Ontario, the province with the highest concentration of high technology companies in Canada,” said Jeff Moore, President. “We have had tremendous success marketing the OverDrive production control system to our customers around the world. This award also acknowledges the accomplishments of our phenomenal engineering team that have developed the OverDrive technology.” 

Ross Video’s OverDrive Production Control System enables touch screen control over the devices used in a television production environment. OverDrive is highly flexible and simplifies workflows, allowing users to run fully automated, semi-automated or traditional, manually controlled productions.

OverDrive™ is a highly flexible production control system with a LiveLink™ MOS interface to newsroom editorial systems. Using the extensive device control capabilities of Synergy digital production switchers, OverDrive extends the reach of the technical director to include control of video servers, audio mixers, robotic cameras and more. The centralized control offered by OverDrive™ gives the ability to execute a more consistent, sophisticated production on the air without increasing staffing levels.
