Ross Video and Miranda Technologies Team Up with Synergy – Kaleido Integration

Iroquois, Ontario – September 7, 2004.  Ross Video has announced cooperation with Miranda Technologies to provide a tight integration between Ross’ Synergy Production Switcher and Miranda’s Kaleido Multi-Image Display Processors.  The preliminary integration will be shown on the Miranda stand at IBC (hall 8, stand 348).

The integration provides enhanced information known by Synergy to be displayed on a Kaleido multi-image monitor wall.  This heads up display provides such functionality as a single button press monitor wall configuration change, preview tallies, source ID, status, timecode, transition type and more. 

“By making this available on the monitor wall, the TD can keep his eyes on the action, reducing mistakes and increasing production quality.” said David Ross, President of Ross.  “The goal is to provide a more integrated production control room environment.  Much of the information about what is on air and what will be going to air next is available in the production switcher. Synergy already provides the most extensive integration with other production control room equipment including video servers, robotic cameras, still stores, audio mixers and more.  Displaying this information front and center on the monitor wall provides instant status to the TD as well as communication to the entire control room staff.”

Ross Video is in hall 9, stand 4.40 and will be displaying the new Synergy MD multi-definition series of production switchers, new Synergy SD software and features, GearLite MD a new line of compact, multi-definition terminal equipment and the award winning OverDrive Production control system.
