New York Mets, Shea Stadium Teams Up with Synergy
Iroquois, ON, Canada – June 15, 2005 – Ross Video announced today the New York Mets, Shea Stadium has invested in a Synergy 3 Digital Production Switcher as part of a recent video scoreboard upgrade.
“We looked at different SDI switcher options and in terms of the feature power and efficiencies, Ross was the right investment,” said Tim Gunkel, Senior Director, Marketing Production, New York Mets, Shea Stadium. “We have the ability to grow with Synergy as our needs change and we eventually migrate beyond SD to HD. Also Ross has great people to work with from Sales to Training and Technical support.”
The stadium previously had an Analog 4x3 video scoreboard and has upgraded to an SDI 16x9 Diamond Vision LED video scoreboard for displaying quality digital signals.
The Synergy SD series of Digital Production Switchers are multi-purpose switchers used to work in virtually any live production environment. Synergy’s Aspectizer™ option adds an on-board aspect ratio converter which can handle a mix of 4:3 and 16:9 sources while maintaining the correct aspect ratio at all times.
“We have a great relationship with the New York Mets and Shea Stadium,” said, Jeff Moore, Vice President Marketing and Sales, Ross Video. “We are excited Synergy will be an important part of the Mets fan experience.”
Shea Stadium is located in Flushing, Queens, New York and is home to the New York Mets since 1964. Over the years, Shea Stadium has hosted many sports, entertainment and cultural events.
