Iroquois, ON, Canada - March 28, 2008 – Ross Video announced today the release of version 2.0 of their SoftMetal Video Servers.

New features in v2.0 includes Media Manager Application for easy viewing and sorting of clips, Transcode Manager Application for transcoding files, various UI and system enhancements, Apple Final Cut Pro, QuickTime Animation and Avid workflow support.

“This is the second major software release since our launch at NAB 2007,” said Jeff Moore, President. “It’s great to see the growing customer base for this product line and be able to deliver these key new features to all our users.”

SoftMetal is a line of multi-definition video servers designed for both production and master control applications. They are available in 36 different configurations - 18 standard definition models and 18 multi-definition models.
