Ross Video Now Shipping SoftMetal v4.0 Software

Iroquois, ON Canada – November 3, 2008 – Ross Video is now shipping SoftMetal version 4.0 software, launched at IBC 2008. Version 4.0 is currently shipping at no charge to all current SoftMetal customers.

SoftMetal v4.0 Key Features:

• MXF Native Record and Playback Support for HD and SD Clips
• QuickTime Native SD Playout
• Close Captioning Support
• Embedded Audio Support, 16 Channels per video input and output
• Stereoscopic (3D) Record and Playback
• Numerous other Enhancements
