The new router interface makes plant router sources easily selectable directly from the Synergy standard definition (SD) and multi-definition (MD) system control areas. Router mnemonics are supported, with the router 8-character source name being displayed on the system control area and Synergy’s Preview Overlay source ID text. If the Synergy panels are equipped with mnemonics, the Router name also appears directly above the source buttons. Also supported is the ability to use switcher remote aux panels, taking advantage of the switcher routing matrix with audio follow coming from the router. The Synergy switcher automatically matches the appropriate audio sources on the router with the video selected on the aux panels.
“Our Synergy digital production switchers offer the most integrated live production environment,” said David Ross, CEO, Ross Video. “We have a good relationship with Utah Scientific and are pleased to offer customers a new router interface.”
The Synergy SD and MD/X are a family of multi-purpose digital production switcher solutions used to work in virtually any live production environment.
The Synergy MD/X series are fully equipped multi-definition production switchers supporting a wide variety of SD and HD video formats. Synergy is based on the latest technology in both hardware and software and does not require costly upgrades when moving from standard to high definition. Synergy switchers are used for live productions in top market news, sports or live productions.
“Utah Scientific has long specialized in the production of Routing Switchers for the television broadcast industry,” said Scott Boson, Director of Marketing, Utah Scientific Inc. “We are pleased to be working with Ross, the new routing interface will deliver a more streamlined solution for Synergy and Utah users.”
