Control System

Phoenix Control Surface - Advanced Configuration & Monitoring Tool
The NK Series feature a unique, highly fault tolerant control system which does not rely on a single central CPU. Instead, each device operates independently and communicates with other NK Series devices over the T-Bus RS-485 communication network. T-Bus uses a highly reliable, field proven collision detection system to manage traffic on the network. Control panels, matrices and other NK Series devices are added to the T-Bus network in a daisy chain configuration.

The NK-IPS Network Bridge offers 8 buffered T-Bus ports which provide a way to isolate portions of the T-Bus control network as well as an Ethernet port which allows system configuration from a PC via a simple web page or the Phoenix Control Surface.

NK Series Control System

The Phoenix Control Surface is a graphical user interface for control and set up of all the NK devices. This software offers a more visual and comprehensive ability to configure and monitor the system than is available with the web interface.

The NK-VRC Virtual Routing Core enables virtual routing and resource management to an NK System, providing flexibility in how sources and destinations are managed and the ability to select sources from different router levels using external resources, such as format converters, ADC's and DAC's.

Other control system components include serial protocol converter, GPI interface, serial automation interface and interfaces to legacy Kondor systems and control panels.
