Digital Production Switchers - Synergy 2 MD
Comprehensive Machine Control
Ross has set the pace for device control from production switchers. Synergy offers a more integrated production environment than any other production switcher on the planet. Whether you are looking to get a more consistent production on the air, or to get a new show on the air with a modest staff, Synergy MD and MD-X have the control power to make it happen.
Note: If you are trading in a Synergy SD chassis to upgrade to a new Synergy MD switcher, you keep your previously purchased software options. We simply install them on your new switcher before it leaves the factory.

VTR Control Select a VTR on the PST bus, display its current time code on the preview monitor, roll it from the transition area, and take it to air. Fast forward, rewind, slo-mo playback and cue to time code are also available at the touch of a button on the control panel. |

Audio Server Control Controls the 360 Systems DigiCart™, Sony Minidisc, and EncoDad audio servers. Dial up the desired clip and see the name and duration. Use a Custom Control macro button to link audio clips to a switcher or DVE transition. |

Router Control
This option makes your studio router sources easily selectable directly from the Synergy menu system. Any of Synergy’s inputs may be fed from a router output. On Synergy 2, 3, and 4 control panels, router mnemonics are supported, with the router's 8-character source name displayed on the Synergy menu system, the mnemonic displays, and Preview Overlay source ID text. The Router Follow feature provides audio-follow-video functionality when a router source is sent out through an Aux Bus. For instance, you can configure Router Follow to tell the router to include Audio Channel 1 with the associated video signal when Aux Bus Crosspoint 1 is pressed. When the crosspoint is changed, the Router will follow. |

Editor Interface Any MLE or combination of MLEs can be controlled using an RS-232 or RS-422 interface and GVG 100, GVG 200 or 4000 protocol. Use your editor to read and write switcher functions including input selection, pushbutton enable and disable, control settings, and memory registers. This option works great with Editware, Accom, or Sony Editors. |

Monitor Wall Interface
This software option adds the ability to interface between Synergy and a multi-image display system, providing advanced monitoring capabilities. Using the Custom Control macro buttons, you can perform functions such as load a preset layout, change the input channel on a particular monitor, or edit dynamic text. |
Serial Tally Interface
This option provides an interface between Synergy, and Under Monitor Displays and Tally systems using the industry standard Contribution Serial Tally Protocol. Parameters are configured using the Synergy menu system, and in no way affect the normal operation of the standard parallel tally interface. Included with this option is the Look Ahead Serial Tally Protocol, which enables the operator to notify an attached serial device of a key crosspoint change before the crosspoint change actually takes place. |
