Letter to nielsen Customers:
On August 17, 2010, Ross Video announced they have entered into an agreement to acquire Norpak Corporation, a long-time supplier of Nielsen encoder and reader products.
Nielsen is actively engaged in conversations with Ross Video and we anticipate as close a working relationship as we have enjoyed with Norpak. We are pleased with the steps that are being taken to ensure a smooth and transparent transition. Based on the initial conversations that have taken place in the past weeks, we are confident that Ross Video is committed to providing customers with quality products and support.
When is this happening?
Ross Video will assume ownership of Norpak on September 17, 2010. Subsequently, all operations at
Norpak will transfer to Ross Video.
What do I need to do?
What do I do if I recently ordered equipment from Norpak? No action on your part is required. Ross Video is working closely with Norpak to assure a smooth and
seamless transition. Ross Video will fulfill shipments to customers who have recently purchased
equipment from Norpak according to the original purchase agreement. Ross Video will contact you if they
have any questions about the order. To find out the status of equipment recently purchased from Norpak,
contact Ross Video at (613)652-4886 and ask for Sales and Marketing.
How does this acquisition affect my warranty for previous equipment purchases from Norpak? Ross Video will honor all existing Norpak warranties and agreements.
Whom do I contact about support and repairs? Contact Ross Video at (613)652-4886 and ask for Technical Support. For repairs, ask for the service department.
What is the future of the Norpak product line? Ross Video is committed to manufacturing and supporting the existing product line. In addition, Ross intends to grow the product offerings to meet expanding broadcast industry needs.
What steps is Ross Video taking to support the Norpak product line? Ross procured the manufacturing and intellectual property rights for the Norpak products. Key Norpak staff will transition to roles at Ross Video.
During the transition period, Ross Video will retain the Norpak phone number and redirect emails sent to support@norpak.com to their email address at support@rossvideo.com.
