Arrowhead Stadium is the home of the NFL Kansas City Chiefs, MLS Kansas City Wizards and hosts several other events in Kansas City including US Soccer and College Football. I have been with the organization for 11 years, and I produce the events held at Arrowhead Stadium.

We are a live broadcast, with the final product being displayed on our large screen video boards, concourse and luxury seating TV's.

In 1999, Arrowhead Stadium replaced the scoreboard production facilities. Looking towards the future, we designed our control room to be a digital 16 x 9 facility. We chose the Ross Synergy 3 as our switcher for several reasons. Features including the "Squeeze and Tease" and auto key makes the Synergy 3 ideal for live sports production. The "Squeeze and Tease" option also allows us to create a dual ISO reply without tying up a channel of DVE. Once the switcher was operating, we found the "source ID" preview overlay helped the communication between our director and technical director.

Installation of the Ross Synergy 3 went smoothly and the mapping was a snap. The Ross Synergy 3 is a very user-friendly switcher. In fact, our switcher was operational only 6 hours before a soccer game at Arrowhead. Without any training, the TD was able to do a live event without any problems.

We have encountered very few problems with our Ross Synergy 3. Whenever we have called Ross for support, the service has been among the best of any product we have purchased. The technicians are knowledgeable and able to work with someone over the phone.

Without a doubt, the Ross Synergy was a good purchase for Arrowhead Stadium. The Ross Synergy 3 allowed us to improve our production, its ease of use creates our production environment.
