Trio Video is a Chicago based mobile television production company which caters to the entire United States. They provide facilities and crews for clients to broadcast live, sports and entertainment events.

When conversion of the Trio Video X2 unit to digital became reality, engineering considerations for the digital distribution amplifiers and signal conversion became top priority.

We needed to balance our needs for space, weight and versatility to cost economics -- as most companies need to do. The Ross Video 8000 Series digital equipment fit the bill.

Specifications for weight, heat, and frame versatility were exceptional and met the needs of the small spaces usually encountered in the television truck domain. We wanted to maintain the original analog structure design while constructing a digital system layer for flexibility.

This included the addition of a digital router and switcher 60 channel upgrade simultaneously.
