Video West, Inc. was incorporated in 1982. We are a video and audio visual staging and rental company providing high end video projection, switching/ routing, cameras, audio systems and lighting packages and design to production companies, independent producers, corporations, entertainers, fairs and festivals.

A typical project for Video West, Inc. would be a multi-camera live switch to video projection, record and often simultaneous live webcast. We would provide a complete sound system for an audience of 1000+ as well as dramatic lighting and effects including moving instruments. All of this equipment is, of course, supported by our superb staff of technicians. We have done numerous projects like this for GM, MicroAge, and TruServ. We have also toured with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and KORN as well as provided support for the Pope's visit to St. Louis in 1999 and President ClintonÕs Round Table discussions in Phoenix.

Video West, Inc. is now purchasing new systems which are digital as opposed to analog in order to offer the latest technology to our clients. With more and more frequency, we find we are faced with simultaneously having 4:3 and 16:9 sources and outputs. We are currently in the process of building a new digital system which includes a Ross Synergy 2 switcher. The addition makes Video West the first in our market to offer a Digital 2ME switcher. Also in our inventory are Grass Valley, Sony, and For A switching / routing systems.

When making our purchase decision, we took the following features into consideration: Aspectizers, Squeeze and Tease, Ultimatte Insider, Preview Overlay, Custom Control, the growth path, low power consumption, ease of operation, value, warranty and 12 controllable outputs.

We're happy with our decision. The Synergy 2 certainly improves the look of our productions. The two built-in Squeeze and Tease 2D DVE options provide lots of production flexibility.

The Synergy 2 switcher is also very user-friendly. Incorporating the switcher into our systems and training our staff has been very straight-forward.

Service is crucial in our industry. To date, we are very satisfied with our support from Ross.
