YTV Purchases A Ross Synergy 3 to Stay Ahead of the Times

As Mobile Engineer Supervisor for YTV, a Children's Television Network, I travel from location to location to air live events and TV series.

We replaced our dated GVG 250 with a new Ross Synergy 3 digital production switcher.

In evaluating the Synergy, we considered all features including the Aspectizer aspect ratio converters. We are not currently faced with producing broadcasts in 4:3 and 16:9 but take comfort in the fact that we could add this option in the future. All in all, buying Ross was a good choice.

The installation came and went without a hitch and a single day of training was sufficient. This is a very easy switcher to operate.

RossGear terminal equipment was used throughout the installation. The ability to plug Ross converters directly into our existing Leitch frames was a great cost and labor saving benefit.

Synergy has been busy with us this year, producing the Game Show Uh, Oh!, airing the Christina Auguiliera's Physko Blast Concert Series and the Youth Achievement Awards.

This switcher has stood up to every technical challenge that we've thrown at it. The amazing capabilities and compact physical size of the switcher has been very beneficial to the mobile.
