Kiva supports Ross DashBoard control from external computers connected via ethernet. DashBoard allows operators to create their own customized user interfaces to control the PVW and PGM players in multiple Kiva servers connected across a local area network.
In addition, Kiva presentation servers can interface directly with external video routing equipment, eliminating the need for a router control panel at the operator workstation. This allows users to control video input switching directly from the Kiva user interface.
The record and player channels in Kiva can also be remotely controlled from external devices via traditional RS422 and ethernet pathways, using industry-standard control protocols. These external devices can include production switchers, standard ‘VTR’ and ‘Server’ control panels, and remote computers running Ross DashBoard applications.
