Using a Text Object Macro in XPression DataLinq™ to Select Games

DataLinq™ is a powerful tool with several ways to integrate data sets and present them as real-time motion graphics. Using tools like RelID and SQL Queries to pull specific data and populate Take IDs with content has made DataLinq™ a very flexible tool. To make it even accessible, users can now use Text Objects in their Take IDs to select which record is shown inside the graphic. Marking the Text Object as a Macro capitalizes on a very simple way to select which record is retrieved an shows immediate results in the preview in the XPression Sequencer and even the XPression MOS Client. Take a look at how it is used inside of an XPression Take ID to select which game data set is used to generate a scoreboard from an XML file.
