Using Preview Images in MOS Templates

Transitioning over to a MOS workflow is hard on everyone in the station. To make it easier on the newsroom users, it is possible to add some visual images as PREVIEW ONLY, using Render Layers. The images added into the Render Layer which is set to Preview Only will appear on the XPression Operator User Interface or anywhere a Preview image is shown. The Preview images do not appear on the frame buffer outputs, so they are hidden from the viewers at home. However, the operator and the newsroom users will see them and use them as hints for checking if text might go behind a show logo, or even as a way to show the difference between talent lower-third graphics and lower-thirds for generic ‘man on the street’ interviews
