Vision Fits Right In at Moldovan TV

Iroquois, ON Canada – February 26, 2009 – Moldovan TV selected Ross’ Vision QMD/X production switcher line with the purchase of a Vision 2M control panel mixed with a Vision 3 QMD frame for their facility.

Moldovan TV required a specific architecture to move forward with their HD transition, and Ross offered the solution with their Vision line of switchers. Purchased through their local dealer, Axio-Teh in Maldova, they are satisfied with the results.

“The ability to combine various panels and frames according to requirements and space restrictions was the key factor in selecting Ross’ switcher over other manufacturers,” said Constantin Rusanovschi, Technical Director, Moldovan TV. “We wanted a particular size of switcher panel, which the Vision 2M met, but we wanted to go with a 3 MLE frame. Ross was able to meet our requirements.”

Vision QMD/X offers a choice of 7 different control panel models, 2 rackframe sizes and 3 configurations. Control panels range from the Vision 1 (1 MLE 16 crosspoint button panel) to the Vision 4 (4 MLE 40 crosspoint button panel). Vision QMD/X provides 4 keys per ME and up to 4 MEs, available in both a small and large chassis. The small chassis, QMD, is a compact 3RU offering four full 4 keyer MEs and 48 multi-definition inputs. The large chassis, QMD-X, is an expanded 8RU frame offering four full 4 keyer MEs, 6 keys downstream, and 96 multi-definition inputs.
