CBC/Radio-Canada Adopts Ross Technology at Regional Television Facilities

Iroquois, ON, Canada – May 6, 2009 – Ross Video today announced that its OverDrive Automated Production Control System and Vision Video Production Switcher will be installed in two newly constructed regional television facilities operated by CBC/Radio-Canada, Canada’s national public broadcaster.

OverDrive and Vision will be installed in studios in Sherbrooke and Trois Rivères, Quebec, along with an option for installation in a third regional facility in 2009. On-air dates are scheduled for late 2009 and early 2010 respectively.

“Top-notch service in the regions is a priority for CBC/Radio-Canada. That can’t happen without quality technology in place,” said Daniel Guèvin, CBC/Radio-Canada’s Manager of Broadcast Engineering. “Our new studios were designed with the goal of improving production workflow. The technologies we have selected will make us more efficient and enhance our on-air productions.”

“We’re pleased CBC/Radio-Canada has chosen to work with Ross as part of their new studio build,” said Brad Rochon, Marketing Product Manager, OverDrive. “The addition of OverDrive APC will improve their production workflow and enhance the quality of their local newscasts.”
