Ross Video Partners with Semtech to demonstrate 6G UHD-SDI solutions at NAB 2103

Saturday, April 6, 2013 [Las Vegas, NV, USA] – Ross Video announced that they have been working closely with Semtech in the research and development of products using their new 6G UHD-SDI technology and will be show casing a technology demo at this NAB.

The technology demo demonstrates the distribution of 6Gb/s signal with impressive performance specifications. The new 6G technology extends standard copper coax cabling with longer distances for today’s 3Gb/s and 1.5Gb/s transmissions and opens the opportunity to multiplex up to 4 1.5Gb/s or 2 3Gb/s signals onto a single link. Other potential 6 Gb/s solutions are the transport and distribution of 1080p 3D and dual link 6Gb/s + 6Gb/s, UHDTV and 4K digital cinema transmission.
