What’s New in Media I/O v14 – smarter, faster, more controlled workflows

Media I/O is your central platform for ingest, playout, and clip management, modernizing legacy SDI workflows while supporting ST 2110, NDI, and SRT in a single, web-based interface that simplifies operations and gives teams direct control.

Version 14 builds on this foundation, making clip handling more intelligent, efficient, and operator-friendly.

Integrated clip management

With v14, operators can preview, trim, and add markers and rich metadata to clips directly in the web interface, all without using channel resources. That makes daily operations faster and more efficient, reducing bottlenecks and letting your team focus on content rather than tools.

Enhanced editing with proxies

Low-resolution proxy clips are now automatically created at ingest. These proxies make reviewing and editing faster and more lightweight, while leaving high-resolution content untouched for final output.

Smarter metadata handling

Custom metadata templates allow clips to be consistently tagged across different content types, making organization and searchability easier than ever. Sidecar XML metadata is generated for every clip, helping optimizing integration with other systems.

Flexible workflow integration

Bidirectional channel support lets you toggle seamlessly between ingest and playout modes on a single channel in 2110, SRT, NDI and more. This flexibility reduces hardware needs and simplifies operational setups, letting teams adapt quickly to different production demands.
