Ross Video Brings Graphics Integration to deltatre’s Magma Sports Statistics Package at IBC 2015
Thursday, September 10th, 2015 [Amsterdam, The Netherlands] – Ross Video and deltatre are very pleased to announce that Ross Video’s XPression graphics platform now integrates with deltatre’s Magma solution, and this integration will be demonstrated on the Ross Video booth at IBC 2015.
deltatre, the Sports digital and broadcast specialist, works with major sports governing bodies to both supply rights holders with data and transform data into engaging graphical content for broadcasters and production companies. Ross Video’s XPression graphics platform has grown rapidly over the last 5 years from a single product into a powerful suite of tools for live production.
IBC 2015 will see the Ross XPression graphics software integrating with deltatre’s Magma control interface to offer a one-stop solution for live TV graphics. The demonstration, featuring football content, will highlight how deltatre’s Magma software can import official statistics and allow the operator to browse and filter these stats before connecting with XPression and taking them to air using predefined templates. This works for specific events during a match (e.g. a yellow card or penalty), allowing operators to quickly search for a player’s name and then take the relevant event graphic to air extremely quickly.
Commenting on this tie-up, Brian Olson, Ross Video’s Director of Marketing Product Management for XPression, notes “”deltatre’s Magma software is the leader in providing live and historical data for football in Europe. It made sense for XPression, the fastest growing real-time graphics system, to join forces with another industry leader. We wanted to make sure our customers had access to Magma functionality, while still being able to use XPression’s native toolset for other purposes.”
Tony Page, Head of Onstage with deltatre agrees. “The integration with Magma and Ross XPression allows for stunning graphic effects to be populated with complex real-time data and minimal user interaction. The efficient workflow dramatically accelerates graphics production and the data driven nature reduces possible on-screen errors. This allows for much more informative content to make it on-screen, increasing the analysis of sporting events which is a boost for producers and the public viewing at home.”
The solution comprising XPression and Magma will be available for demonstration during IBC on the Ross Video booth – 9.C10. For more information, visit rossvideo20dev.wpengine.com/ibc/2015/ or www.deltatre.com/2015/08/deltatre-at-ibc-2015/
