Dual 12G/6G/3G/HD/SD/ASI/MADI Distribution Amplifier – 2in/10out

The DRA-8902A is a high-performance distribution amplifier for digital video signals, designed for openGear frames. It supports a wide range of formats including SDI from 270Mb/s to 12Gb/s, plus ASI and MADI, making it a versatile solution for any video facility infrastructure.

Built for premium signal integrity, the DRA-8902A delivers long cable equalization on the input and automatic reclocking on all outputs, with auto-sensing of the incoming rate. Status is available at a glance through local card-edge LEDs, while DashBoard provides full configuration, monitoring, and control.

The DRA-8902A provides two signal inputs and an internal crosspoint that connects them to the outputs. Outputs can be statically connected to either input or configured for automatic basic failover switching. If the selected primary input is lost, the card automatically switches to the alternate input. The DRA-8902A goes beyond basic distribution, adding flexible source selection and improved signal resilience.

  • Wide signal support
    Handles SDI from 270Mb/s to 12Gb/s, plus DVB-ASI and MADI for flexible deployment across modern and legacy infrastructures.
  • Non-inverting outputs for ASI
    Outputs are non-inverting to enable full utilization in DVB-ASI distribution applications.
  • Passive rear module, hot-swappable card
    The rear module is completely passive, enabling the active card to be hot-swapped from the front of the openGear frame without de-cabling.
  • Dual inputs with manual source selection or basic automatic failover
    Choose between the two input sources manually, or enable basic automatic failover. Failover is triggered when the primary signal is lost or can no longer be locked and reclocked.  Each pair of outputs may be independently configured for static connection to either input or automatic failover.
  • Long-reach input equalization
    Excellent input equalizer performance helps maintain signal integrity across long cable runs.
  • Automatic rate detection with reclocking on all outputs
    Auto-senses the incoming rate and applies automatic reclocking, delivering clean, stable signals to the outputs.
  • High density
    Install up to 10x 2in/10out distribution amplifiers in a 2RU openGear frame.
  • At-a-glance status plus DashBoard control
    Card-edge LEDs show key status information, including card status and input signal lock. Full monitoring and configuration is available in DashBoard.
