Designed for tight spaces, rapid deployment, and low channel counts, the SFC-9941 GearLite fiber converter makes it easy to deploy SDI fiber links where and when you need them.

The SFC-9941 provides cost-effective fiber transport for SDI up to 12G, in a compact, point-of-use GearLite form factor. It fits where you need it and extends the practical benefits of fiber to the far edges of your workflow, including places like stage boxes, flight cases, cameras, monitoring points and more.

The benefits of fiber optics for SDI transport include longer attainable distances, smaller and lighter cabling, immunity to electrical interference, and electrical isolation between endpoints.  The SFC-9941 makes these benefits accessible while occupying minimal space and keeping costs low.

One enclosure, multiple applications
The SFC-9941 can be a fiber transmitter, receiver or bi-directional transceiver depending on the SFP you install.  Standardize on one hardware platform, then select the SFP that fits the deployment today, with the flexibility to change it later if requirements change.

    One enclosure can be provisioned as transmit, receive, or bi-directional, defined by the SFP you install. Simplify ordering, spares, and redeployment.
  • SFP options for 270Mb/s to 3G or 12G SDI
    Select SFPs for SDI rates from 270Mb/s up to 3G or 12G, to match budget and bandwidth needs. Singlemode fiber connectivity enables links up to 20 km, depending on fiber loss.
  • Pristine SDI that goes the distance
    A small package does not mean compromised signal performance. The SFC-9941 automatically locks to the detected SDI rate, reclocking SDI before optical transmission and again before electrical output to keep signals stable and clean.
  • Mounting that fits the production
    Use the included brackets for secure screw-mount installation or remove them to access cable-tie attachment points. This makes it easy to secure the SFC-9941 to irregular surfaces and handle quick, ad-hoc setups.
  • Rugged hardware, secure power
    Built for active field and facility use, the SFC-9941 features a rugged metal enclosure and a threaded locking power connector that helps prevent accidental disconnection.
  • Global power supply included
    The included power supply supports wide-range input voltages and ships with swappable plug adapters for common global outlet types, making the SFC-9941 ready for travel, touring, and international installs.
