Ross Video Wins Two Best of Show Awards at IBC2026

Ultrix FR30 and XPression Chameleon recognized for innovation in live production technology

Amsterdam, Netherlands – September 13, 2026 – Ross Video, a global leader in live production technology, has been honoured with two Best of Show Awards at IBC2026, recognizing innovation across the company’s media infrastructure and graphics portfolios.

The newly launched Ultrix FR30 received a Best of Show Award from TVBEurope, while XPression Chameleon received a Best of Show Award from TV Tech.

The wins come as Ross Video showcases new products and software updates across its live production portfolio at IBC2026.

Ultrix FR30 – Best of Show, TVBEurope

Launched at IBC2026, Ultrix FR30 is the newest and largest member of the Ultrix family of hyperconverged media infrastructure platforms. Designed for enterprise-scale broadcast and live production environments, FR30 supports up to 576×576 UHD I/O in a single 30RU chassis while bringing routing, multiviewing, signal processing, media gateway functionality, production switching, screen processing, and control together within a single software-defined platform.

“Ultrix FR30 is really the next evolution of a platform that customers have been asking us to scale for years,” said Todd Riggs, Senior Director, Product Management – Hyperconverged Solutions, Ross Video. “As productions get larger and more complex, customers need more I/O, more processing, and support for more transport types, but they also need to keep that environment manageable. That’s what hyperconvergence is really about: bringing all of those capabilities together to improve efficiency in space, power, cabling, cost, and day-to-day operation. To have FR30 recognized with a Best of Show Award at IBC is a great validation of both the platform and the customer demand that drove us to build it.”

XPression Chameleon – Best of Show, TV Tech

XPression Chameleon brings HTML5 output to existing XPression workflows, allowing users to build a graphic once and deliver it across multiple platforms. The on-premise solution extends established XPression graphics workflows to support new content destinations without requiring a subscription.

“Graphics are no longer created for just one screen or one destination, and Chameleon is about making it easier for XPression customers to adapt to that reality,” said Andrew Windish, Product Manager – Streaming Graphics, Ross Video. “It allows users to take the graphics and workflows they already know and extend them to HTML5 outputs without having to rebuild everything from the ground up. Having Chameleon recognized with a Best of Show Award at IBC is an exciting validation of the direction we’re taking.”

Recognition Across the Ross Video Portfolio

The two Best of Show Awards recognize innovation across distinct areas of live production, from the infrastructure at the core of large-scale production environments to the graphics workflows used to create and distribute content.

The awards add to a significant IBC2026 for Ross Video, which has introduced new products and software updates across media infrastructure, replay, sports analysis, production switching, automation, robotics, control, graphics, audio, and more.

Visitors can see Ultrix FR30, XPression Chameleon, and the latest developments across the Ross Video portfolio at Hall 8, Stand B91 at RAI Amsterdam through September 14.
