The Video Disk Control Protocol, or VDCP is in widespread use for controlling video servers. This fully worked example application controls up to 4 channels of a BlackStorm Video Server, which is the only server for which we provide support. Other servers will likely work, but it’s the programmer’s responsibility to test and troubleshoot these integrations.
