Single Clip Workflow
The native Video+Key+Audio” (VKA) architecture of Kiva+ unifies these three media elements into a single clip asset.
This eliminates the need to create, manage, import, and control two separate assets for each ‘Fill+Key’ element. This feature alone will dramatically simplify your pre-production and live operations.
Media Files Galore!
Integrated media file import tools in Kiva+ dramatically streamline file-based workflows — and support a huge variety of media file codecs and wrappers.
Ingested media files are automatically transcoded, resized, and have the frame rate adjusted to match the active operational video standard of the Kiva+ video server during file import.
Channel Pairs
Kiva+ is available with three different ‘Channel Pairs’, so you can choose the model that best fits your production needs and budget.
The Kiva+ ‘One Channel Pair’ model features one video+audio base-band recording input, one Video+Key PVW Player output pair, and one Video+Key PGM Player output pair. The Kiva+ ‘Two Channel Pair’ model doubles these video channel resources; while the Kiva+ ‘Three Channel Pair’ model triples them.
Are you on a limited budget or have smaller-scale productions? Start with the ‘One Channel Pair’ model and then later upgrade to the Kiva+ ‘Two Channel Pair’ or ‘Three Channel Pair’ model when your production needs increase and your budget permits.
Channel Pair upgrading is very simple: purchase and install one or two PCle video cards into the Kiva+ server chassis — and you’re done!

For real-time record and play operations, the high-performance Kiva+ Presentation video server utilizes high-quality AVC-Intra video hardware.
When AVC-Intra Class 100 media files are imported into Kiva+, no media file transcoding is involved so they are imported in the shortest amount of time, and with professional-level image quality. Import speeds can range from 5X up to 40X real-time when 10-gigabit data connections are used in conjunction with external storage devices that incorporate similar, extremely high-speed technology such as storage devices featuring modern NVMe SSD technology.
Kiva+ can also easily ingest media files created with just about any other video codec. These files will be cleanly transcoded into the AVC-Intra codec upon import into Kiva+.
