Ottawa, Canada – November 24, 2022 – Today, Ross Video announced the win of two Best Ottawa Business Awards (BOBs). This was celebrated at the Best Ottawa Business (BOBs) annual award ceremony and gala, where Ross Video was announced as the winner of the ‘Best Business’ and the ‘Best Performance in HR’ awards.

The ‘Best Business’ award is one of the most significant accolades at the ceremony and is selected based on the winning company’s growth initiatives, financial strength, market position, and community involvement. Ross was chosen based on its status as an industry leader in the market, 30 consecutive years of growth, and strong community outreach efforts.

The ‘Best Performance in HRaward is presented to a company based on a noteworthy human resource initiative undertaken by the company this past year. At Ross, the first highlighted HR initiative was the introduction of improved leave policies, which include maternity, parental, and adoption leave, as well as sick, family medical, and compassionate care. The goal of these enhancements was to better support employees and their families during challenging times. Additionally, the Ross HR team worked with the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association (CHPCA) to qualify for and be designated as the first certified Canadian Compassionate Company (CCC), the first of its kind in Canada.

“Ross is proud to have been recognized as one of the leading companies in the Ottawa business community and is honoured to accept both awards,” says Mary Clement, Vice-President of HR at Ross Video. “Throughout the pandemic, the HR team has diligently worked to support our employees by implementing work-from-home policies, flexible work options, and additional mental health and wellness programs.”

Ross Video also recently announced that it was also selected as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers. For more information on available job opportunities at Ross Video, click here.
