Another Record Year for Ross Video

Ottawa, Canada, November 8th 2019 – A message from David Ross:

Many of our customers and partners know that Ross Video’s new financial year starts in November, and we’re thrilled to announce that 2019 was another record-breaking year for the company. For a start, October was the best trading month we’ve ever had, beating our previous record (set in October 2018) by 19%. We surpassed our overall target for the year by 13% and we’ve seen very welcome growth in each of our geographical regions, with our EMEA team having doubled its business in the last three years! As always, this success is thanks to our loyal customers, our expert partner network and almost 800 dedicated employees around the world who work tirelessly to ensure our customers are looked after in the best possible manner.

Our industry continues to change, often in surprising ways. Supply chains appear to be less and less secure, and the pace of technology migration seems to vary and shift in an almost unpredictable manner. Customers, meanwhile, continue to be faced with daily creative, business challenges that require prompt and effective answers. In these turbulent times, I firmly believe that companies like Ross have a great deal to offer. Our private, employee-owned status means we are extremely consistent in our approach to the market, and our stable and experienced senior management team is steeped in the industry. Being 100% internally funded means that Ross is not beholden to outside shareholders, and we are able to invest in our solutions roadmaps in a way that provides our customers with a great deal of confidence in the long term.

Ross is starting our fiscal year 2020 with great optimism and ambitious plans. We’re working on important new developments right across our range of solutions – arguably the most comprehensive in the industry – and I know we’ll be offering plenty for customers and partners to get excited about. It’s going to be a big year, with US elections and several major international sporting events taking place, and content creators will have to make some important decisions about which technology providers and vendors to work with. Our clear message to the market is that Ross Video is a solutions partner that is here for the long-term, with a focus on live production technologies and customer service that can help you deliver the high impact, high efficiency productions you need.
