Atlanta Hawks & Philips Arena Upgrade to Ross Vision
New Technology to Enhance Arena Scoreboard and Display System
Thursday, January 31, 2013 [Iroquois, Ontario, Canada] – As part of an ongoing project to enhance the fan experience at Philips Arena, home to the National Basketball Association’s Atlanta Hawks, a Ross Video 3 M/E Vision Production Switcher has been installed to manage the arena scoreboard and display systems.
“We are in the process of overhauling our entire production system and made the decision to begin by updating the core video production components,” stated David Schindler, Director of Video Production at Atlanta Hawks & Philips Arena. “We needed a multi–definition product for our production switcher that was powerful yet simple to use and felt that Ross Vision provided the intuitive operation and flexibility that we were looking for to help make the game day experience the best it can be for our fans.”
The 3 MLE Vision Production Switcher is ideally suited for stadium applications; its unique AUX Keys and Multi-Screen production capabilities simplify the task of scoreboard and multiple display management. Additionally it’s powerful custom control macros and device controls allow complicated tasks to be control with a single button push.
“Naturally we were pleased that the Atlanta Hawks & Philips Arena chose a Vision Production Switcher,” said Nigel Spratling, Switcher Marketing Product Manager – Communications at Ross Video. “Vision has become the primary switcher choice for many sports venues as it offers a feature set that is very difficult to match, particularly at its price point. We work hard to ensure that our products truly meet and exceed our customer expectations while minimizing control complexity”.
