Ross Carbonite Ships Ahead Of Schedule

Iroquois, ON, Canada – July 18, 2011 Ross Video yet again beats customer expectations by shipping its Award Winning new Carbonite Mid-Size production switcher – well ahead of schedule.

When the Carbonite series was introduced at NAB 2011 it was announced that shipments would commence in mid – August 2011. More than 65 show visitors who were eager to receive this impressive product placed orders on the NAB show floor to be sure of delivery before the end of September.

With such an unprecedented response to a new product introduction – Ross Video stepped up to the plate by adding additional engineering and QA test resources to improve upon the target ship date. As a result Carbonite is now shipping a full month ahead of the published schedule.

“We knew that Carbonite would be a real winner, but we didn’t fully anticipate just how much of one,” said Nigel Spratling, Switcher Business Development Manager for Ross Video. “When we saw the tremendous volume of orders being placed at NAB by customers wanting product quickly, we did everything possible to get all four Carbonite models into production ASAP.”

“Many Carbonite customers have new production schedules that start in September, making it essential that Carbonite should ship as soon as we were completely satisfied that it met the extremely high performance specs we had set for it.” “The whole team put in an incredible effort to release not just one but four fantastic new switchers, and we are all very proud of the result.”

All four Carbonite models are now shipping and the company is confident that the pre-ordered systems on backlog will be shipped before the end of August.
