Ross-MediaBeacon Relationship Evolves

Monday, September 22nd, 2014 [Iroquois, Ontario, Canada] – Ross Video and MediaBeacon jointly announce the evolution of their XPression openMAM partnership with MediaBeacon, a best-of-breed digital asset management company. With the launch of Ross’ new Streamline GMAM at IBC, Ross now has an in-house, deeply integrated solution for Graphics MAM requirements that can be extended by MediaBeacon’s more general enterprise digital asset management (EDAM).

Ross’ new Streamline Media Asset Management and Order Management System will provide much tighter integration with both Ross XPression Motion Graphics and Inception News and Social Media.

“Streamline is more focused on the specific needs of graphics and news workflow whereas MediaBeacon provides a more all-encompassing enterprise-level digital asset management system,” says Jason Bright, CEO and founder of MediaBeacon.  “MediaBeacon in conjunction with Streamline will allow customers to have the tight integration of Ross Streamline and the ability to harmoniously expand GMAM to the enterprise and all file types based on individual customer needs.”

Both companies are committed to building a migration path. “Our goal is to provide an elegant migration path for our existing openMAM customers to this more flexible solution,” says Brian Olson, Director of Marketing Product Management for XPression. “MediaBeacon and Ross are proud to support increased integration with Streamline while continuing to extend to enterprise-dam with MediaBeacon for those customers who need DAM/GMAM interoperation.”

In the coming months, Ross will communicate a migration plan to existing openMAM customers wishing to make the jump to the next level of asset/order management by Ross Video.
